Graffiti Art

Post-Graffiti is the specific term used to describe modern day graffiti, which is a very different type from the traditional graffiti that were more on vandalism and destroying of property. The artists who are catering to post-graffiti take it into serious consideration not to affiliate themselves with corporations who hire graffiti-artists into making logos and designs for their products. Its essence is separate from territorial graffiti made by gangsters, vandalism and corporate graffiti. Their works usually reflect strong political stands and views on relevant issues of society.

News from Reed Projetcs NORWAY

We’re honoured to have been host to one of South America’s leading street artists these past couple of days. On a whistle stop world tour that has taken in everything from Baltimore’s “Open Walls” project to a solo show at RAS in Barcelona. Jaz aka Franco Fasoli flew in for two nights to tackle one of the immense tunnels we usually reserved for Nuart before heading on to Bergen. Reed Projects were invited to curate one of the tunnels alongside Arve Opdahl Gallery and the City Museamongst others for a month long celebration of the arts under the banner of Tou Camp. We were delighted to find that the next tunnel along is none other than renowned contemporary video artist Bill Viola. Happy to say Jaz’s work more than stands its own.

Nychos hits up Brooklyn

Nychos was in town from Vienna last weekend and got up on the Morgan Walls with fellow Jukebox Cowboys crew members Flying Fortress and others. Love the layered cross-section style of the faces and also the drop shadow. Very nice.
